About

Hi! My name is Robert Kienstra and live in The Netherlands. I always have been fascinated by photography; with wildlife and nature photography in particular. Ansel Adams and Sebastiao Salgado have always been my inspiration. However, depth of what I really wanted to show was missing. So time for a change and I started the study for photographers at the FotoAcademie in Amsterdam. After studying two and a half years I had to interrupt my study temporarily. Since than I knew that my eyes have always been wide shut! The study, so far, is the base for a good technical fundament; creative and inspirational as well, opening a wide range of photography ahead of me. My interest now goes mainly to portrait-, land/cityscape-, wildlife- and street photography, also depending my future chances I get.

Watching the work of other photographers, like Vivian Maier, Andrew Zuckerman, David Yarrow and Marco Grob, they keep inspiring me!
